Masquerade

This is part of my headcanon: There’s a masquerade ball at school, and Marinette overhears Felix saying he already has a date. She gets depressed.

Then later that night, as Ladybug, Chat Noir starts behaving weirder than usual. He asks her out for the masquerade ball at his school. Brokenhearted, sick of the Cat’s never-ending pleading and whining, and as her last option, she accepts. They agree not to tell the other who they really are.

-But, how will I know it’s you?

-Oh, you will the moment you see me. The girl with the red dress.

So, at the party, Felix approaches her, and she forgets all about the promise to the Cat. After all, her wish came true and Felix showed interest in her. The Cat doesn’t matter now.

The Cat finds Ladybug, and to his surprise, she seems delighted. Always smiling at him. What could have been the cause to such a sudden change in her?

Next time they meet as Chat Noir and Ladybug, she asks him why he never appeared at the ball. She was waiting for him, but then, Felix - a guy she liked - came to her and she had a wonderful time.

-So, if you are not serious at all, please stop trying to court me in that ridiculous way. - And she leaped to the next building.

Chat Noir stood frozen in the same place, with the thorns of the rose he was going to give her seconds before still hurting the skin of his arm as he concealed it under his sleeve.
